For 4 portions of the Coke joint you need:
- 1,5 kg roast pork, shoulder (Schweinebraten, Schulter)
- 200 g mango chutney (you can find it in the asia section)
- 1 Cup ketchup
- 500 ml Coke
- 500 g joint stock (Braten Fond)
- 1 big onion (Zwiebel)
- if you like add 1 or 2 beef loin ribs or bone
Preheat the oven (200°C).
Wash the roast pork, pat it dry and put it in a roasting tray or a casserole.
To prepare the gravy, cut the onion into pieces and put all other ingredients together. Now add the gravy to the casserole. If you like you can also add 1 or 2 beef loin ribs or bone.
Now put the coke joint into the oven for 2 hours. Every 20-30 minutes or so you need to souse the meat with the gravy.
As a side dish you can serve dumpling (Knödel) or pasta.
