This Typical american cantine food is quite easy to prepare, but really, really tasty. Just try for yourself!
For 4 portions you need:
1 table spoon olive oil
625g ground beef
about 70 mg brown sugar
1-1 tablespoon barbecue sauce/marinade (we took some whiskey barbecue marinade)
1 onion, chopped
1 tablespoon chili pepper
1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
about 500 ml tomato sauce
2 tablespoon tomato puree (Tomatenmark)
4 rolls/buns (or other bread) (cut into two halves)
First you put the olive oil into a pan and heat it up (high heat). Put the beef into it and roat it. Add brown sugar and barbecue sauce. Add onions and chili pepper. Reduce heat to medium and add vinegar, worcestershire sauce. Let it cook for about 5 minutes. Add tomato sauce and puree. Let it cook for about 5 minutes.
Serve it with or between the bun halves. You can also serve rice instead of brun halves.
